Book Review | Outside the Gates of Science: Why it's Time for the Paranormal to Come in from Under the Cold
Broderick, D. (2007). Outside the Gates of Science: Why it's Time for the Paranormal to Come in from Under the Cold. Journal of Parapsychology, 2006, 388-391.

note | Taking into consideration the abundance of scepticism surrounding the field of parapsychology already, one would be wise to be cautious of material which from the onset steps outside of the realm of traditional empirical research so as to put a more practical perspective on its research. However, Broderick in openly asserting these methods does so in an attempt to step back from the traditional perspectives and instead frame the theoretical prospect of psi within a ‘tangible’ and dare I say potentially practical application; although throughout he maintains a mildly critical stance on the demonstrable actuality of telepathy, precognition, pk and remote viewing.

Indeed one can clearly protest that Broderick’s case examples are carefully selected so as to reinforce a point and that towards the end he asks the reader to walk with him on some rather ambitious conclusions asserted from his findings but for someone who is prepared to be open minded, has a penchant for the clear connections drawn between quantum physics and parapsychology and will embrace a light read this is well worth your time... Book Review | Entangled Mind: Extrasensory Experiences in a Quantum Reality
Radin, D. (2006). Entangled Mind: Extrasensory Experiences in a Quantum Reality. Journal of Parapsychology, 2006, 177-179.

Article | In his work “Entangled Minds” Dean Radin, in a rather methodical and precise way, gives his thought and review to a growing amount of research which is now devoting its time to the theoretical links potentially seen to be present between quantum entanglement and the observation of psi. Moreover, for those who are already familiar with the basic premise of this theory Radin also importantly shows concern for the seemingly perpetual systemised criticism of past and present psi research and draws attention to why he believes that much of the high quality research is ignored.

Furthermore for the ideologically unbiased, Radin’s work presents a synopsised historical account of a body of evidence which has contributed to historical understanding of the human consciousness and its place in the physical world, whilst also laying out a significant theory behind the connection between quantum entanglement and its connections with the mind ... Book Review | Parapsychology and neurobiology: Is integration possible
Chernus, L, A. (2007). Parapsychology and neurobiology: Is integration possible. Physiology and Behaviour, 90, 186-187.

note | Chernus’ assessment of Apollon’s work, Touched by the extraordinary: Matters of the Soul, fundamentally recognises the authors attempt to explore the elasticity of the current understandings into human neurology and which rather more intriguingly attempts to expand on the potential biologically based cognitive expansion of the mind. However, Apollon’s work can be and often is quite speculative in its analysis of material; in particular by that of its consideration into the reliability of self reporting methods and Chernus’ evaluation justifiably acknowledges this margin of unreliability... Article | Using Neuroimaging to Resolve the Psi Debate
Moulton, S, T,. & Kosslyn, S, M. (2008). Using Neuroimaging to Resolve the Psi Debate. Journal of Cognitive Neuroscience, 20, 1, 182-192.

abstract | Parapsychology is the scientific investigation of apparently paranormal mental phenomena (such as telepathy, i.e., ‘‘mind reading’’), also known as psi. Despite widespread public belief in such phenomena and over 75 years of experimentation, there is no compelling evidence that psi exists. In the present study, functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) was used in an effort to document the existence of psi. If psi exists, it occurs in the brain, and hence, assessing the brain directly should be more sensitive than using indirect behavioural methods (as have been used previously)... [MORE]
